Wildlife...
As spring comes alive, the wild grasses flower in the field surrounding the yard.
Many species of birds, including hawks and turkey vultures are seen on a daily basis flying around the property.
There is a large deer fence, but deer often graze on the edges of the fence along the treeline. Wild Turkey, fox and other field animals are seen from time to time.
Country Road...
We are located on a very quiet, dead end road, with few neighbors and lots of wild apple trees. You can ride bikes or stroll down the street and observe the wildlife as well as farm life. The farm at the end of the road has goats that love to say hi as well as ducks and geese that swim in the pond.
Swimming pool and yard
Off of the porches, there is a 20' x 40' heated in-ground swimming pool with stadium step entry and it's surrounded by a blue stone patio and grass. One of the wild blueberry bushes is inside of the fence, so you can enjoy fresh blueberries while you swim.
The pool is surrounded by post and beam fenced in, with a gate on the front side facing the house. Maintenance is handled by the home owners, but the cost of heating the pool is the responsibility of the guests.
Off the back of the house is a very large backyard with room to play games and run around, or just watch many of the beautiful sunsets behind the hill. We have several outdoor games including bocce ball set, badminton, frisbee, balls, corn hole and yard toys.
The property contains many wild blueberry bushes, as well as a newly planted orchard, with over 30 trees, and a large garden. There are several types of trees on the property to enjoy, as we are slowly cultivating an arboretum. The back of the property is wooded, with a creek and hiking trails. These can be enjoyed in summer or winter.
